Maya Valdez

As a Compliance Associate, Maya Valdez works together with the other members of the Compliance & Standards Team to oversee our network of financial advisors, providing regulatory guidance and support. She joined the Midwestern Securities team in January 2020 as a participant in the fastTrack™ advisor training program and transitioned to the Compliance & Standards Team in July of the same year. She currently holds her Securities Industry Essentials and FINRA Series 7 licenses.

Maya graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, with a major in Political Science and a double minor in Spanish and Business Law. She held several positions on the Bradley campus before transitioning to the financial industry. As a student, she was an active participant in Socratic Society and other campus activities.

A native of Escondido, Calif., in San Diego County, Maya now lives in Tempe, Ariz., where she enjoys cooking and baking, working out, and playing with her dog, Bentley.
