As Chief People Officer, Shane Speten leads Midwestern Securities’ people strategy, talent management, advisor enrichment, employee experience, Human Resources and organizational culture. He partners with leaders across the organization to align people initiatives with business goals, strengthen leadership capabilities, and foster an environment where employees and advisors can thrive.

Shane brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience developing high-performing teams and leading transformational growth across multiple Fortune 500 and globally recognized organizations, including Amazon, Lowe’s, LG, Sears and Office Depot Solutions. Throughout his career, he has led organizations of more than 250 professionals and guided enterprise initiatives focused on leadership development, coaching, succession planning, employee engagement, organizational development, recognition and culture transformation.

Shane believes exceptional business performance begins with exceptional people. He is passionate about investing in leaders, fostering meaningful relationships, and creating an environment built on trust, accountability and continuous growth. Through this approach, he helps organizations build strong cultures and achieve lasting results through their people.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Shane earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Management from Bellevue University. He also holds a Project Management Certificate from Kaplan University and plans to pursue FINRA licenses to further his industry knowledge.

Outside of work, Shane enjoys endurance athletics as an Ironman triathlete and marathon runner. He and his wife have one daughter. Shane is passionate about faith, family and developing leaders who make a lasting impact on the people they serve.
